Jungles & Forests in Central Bali

Situated around 25 km to the north from Denpasar, this place is a small forest measuring about 12 ha. Inside, there is an old sacred temple guarded by hundred of monkeys and up on the big trees are huge fruits bats with their massive wings.

The village of Bedugul is located on the western shores of Lake Beratan, right at the foot of Mount Tapak. With a dry climate and temperatures cooler than most any other place in Bali.

This forest is smaller than the one at Sangeh but the monkeys are just as wild. In addition to the monkeys there are several temples in the forest and walking around the cool forest trails is a nice break from the hectic shopping
