Gunung Agung is a symmetrical stratovolcano. It is Bali'shighest and most sacred mountain and towers over the eastern end of the island. The volcano, whose name means "Paramount," rises above the caldera.

This area is widely known as Bali's dive centre. The destinations are located on the eastern coast, but still an easy day trip from Candidasa area.
