Situated around 25 km to the north from Denpasar, this place is a small forest measuring about 12 ha. Inside, there is an old sacred temple guarded by hundred of monkeys and up on the big trees are huge fruits bats with their massive wings.

The Kokokan village is the natural habitat of Kokokan or also known as heron. This village is located just near Ubud. Every day during 5 to 6 pm, thousands of white herons fly back to their nest at the tree nearby the main road.
Taman Burung houses over 1000 birds, including varieties from all over Indonesia. One of the aims of the park is to breed endangered species in captivity, including the indigenous Bali Mynah.
