Nusa Lembongan now is popular getaway destination near Bali. Its main bay is a long stretch of white sand fringed by hotels in all price ranges. While it is developed for tourism, the island is free of cars, motorcycle noise and most hassles -- it's a nice getaway.
Most people who lives in the island are either involved in the seaweed industry and in tourism. Most of the residents live in two small villages, Jungutbatu and Lembongan.
The island's primary attractions are marine activities such as surfing, snorkeling, diving, and cruises. The island is small enough to take for a walk around in only a few hours.Public boats to Nusa Lembongan leave from Sanur Beach at 8 and 10am, return boats leave around 7.30am from Jungutbatu.
