Nusa Dua

Located 40 kilometers from the capital city; Denpasar, Nusa Dua is a peninsula in the south of Bali. White sandy beaches and crystal clear water are part of the reason Nusa Dua has been chosen as the home of a large number of luxury resorts and hotels.

Nusa Dua is extremely different then the other part of Bali, it is free from hawkers, there are no warungs, or crowds and little noise. As you enter the main gateway, there are a large lawns, manicured garden, and sweeping driveways leading to the lobbies of grand hotels. It's a bit "un-Bali" if you ask us, still a lot of people (tour groups and North Asian tourists in particular) seem to like it.

The beach at Nusa Dua is shallow at low tide and the surf breaks far away from the shore. It provides a perfect place to swim and an excellent place for water sport such as scuba diving, parasailing, jet skiing, surfing, banana boat rides, etc.

All the major hotel chains have some sort of presence here. The odd thing is that they all seem virtually interchangeable...Check it out if this is your sort of thing.
