Our favorite breakfast spot -- right on the beach. La Lucchiola is something of an institution. It has been here for quite a while and once enjoyed a dominant position in upscale beachside dining. Things have changed a bit since Ku De Ta and Gado Gado have popped on to the scene, but La Lucchiola remains a great place for breakfast and lunch dining.

The atmosphere is casual, with an Ylang Ylang roof, palm trees, and an ocean view. The service is good. The food consistent.

We're not big fans of La Lucchiola for dinner, but it is hard to beat for breakfast and lunch.  Alternatively, stop by and enjoy happy hour with a small crowd of the island's more laid back expats. It's quiet. It's nice. It's not insanely expensive.

The menu is Continental with a few Asian dishes sprinkled in.
