The Kokokan village is the natural habitat of Kokokan or also known as heron. This village is located just near Ubud.
Every day during 5 to 6 pm, thousands of white herons fly back to their nest at the tree nearby the main road. The villager has provided some view points in the centre of the rice field. To enjoy the birds, also provided binocular and some hot coffee or tea while watching or waiting the birds back to their nest.
To get to this village from Ubud follow the route of Jalan Hanoman, pass through Peliatan village you will find a monument in the intersection of Ubud-Gianyar-Peliatan and then turn to the left. In around 5 km away you will see the sign of the kokokan (a small monument of heron), turn left, and the village is 2 km away.
