Located south of Kuta and the airport, Jimbaran is a crescent of white sand and blue sea. The beach is the host of some luxury resort such as the Bali Intercontinental, the Four Seasons, and several boutique hotels.
The beach is also the home of many oceanside seafood restaurants. Spectacular sunsets and fresh grilled seafood draw many visitors. The fish market in the north side of Jimbaran is well worth an early morning exploration, as it is one of the best in Bali.
Virtually all the restaurants offer the same fare, but shop prices to avoid getting stuck. Lots of people here enjoy sunset, dining at tables on the sand. It's nice to go earlier when there are fewer people and kick back for a beer and some grilled prawns.
To get to Jimbaran, public bemo from Tegal terminal in Denpasar go via Kuta to Jimbaran, and continue to Nusa Dua. Also there are plenty of taxis on Uluwatu road.
