The water in Lovina is clear and some parts of the reef are quite good for snorkeling. There is also a well-established scuba diving industry here and the local reef is particularly good at lower depths

This area is widely known as Bali's dive centre. The destinations are located on the eastern coast, but still an easy day trip from Candidasa area.

The village of Bedugul is located on the western shores of Lake Beratan, right at the foot of Mount Tapak.
